Branding & Sustainable Packaging
The name ‘Coop’ felt like an appropriate name for my sustainable egg-ware brand for two key reasons:
The word ‘coop’ refers to a small enclosure for chickens, and as chickens have been central to my project, it was important for my to reference this.
The word ‘co-op’ is also an abbreviation of ‘co-operative’ which describes ‘involving mutual assistance in working towards a common goal’. This idea of collaboration and working towards an end goal was a huge aspect of my project as I have worked with various stakeholders with the intention of creating a product that is not only sustainable, but also encourages conversation about how waste can be turned into something beautiful and purposeful.
I focused on creating packaging designs that are both beautiful and environmentally friendly. I designed a removable sleeve for the box, which helps the box be reused more easily, cutting down on waste. I chose neutral colours to match Coop's clean, green brand image. I made each part of the packaging from recycled materials, showing my dedication to being eco-friendly. This design is not just for packaging; it can also be used as a plant pot, adding more value.
